Hi! My name is Shawna and I just wanted to introduce myself by giving you a little background about myself.

I was a teacher in the public school system for over 10 years. I absolutely loved teaching the children! In my “free time”, I was helping a few people here and there with their loc journeys. I didn’t realize that I was building a loc business, but it was happening naturally. More and more people were asking me to do their locs and word spread about Shawna LocsNStyles. It came to a point that I was trying to juggle two full-time careers and I had to make a difficult decision. I took a leap and decided to love on locs full-time.

Then! It got to a point where my clientele was overflowing and I needed help. I couldn’t just send people to locticians who were just in it for the money or who truly didn’t take the time to truly love on locs, so God gave me the idea to jump back into my passion of teaching…LOCubrate Academy was birthed and now people I have taught are literally spread across the country from VA to FL to TX to OK to MD and even HI!! (I also recognized a great need for a quality, luxury natural hair and beard oil so that’s why I came up with L3 and L3: The Bearded Edition…hence this site you’re on right now. 😉)
